What’s it all about?

My name is Dean Wilson. I’m a journalism graduate and I’m passionate about movies. They’re a form of escapism but they also allow us to be taken somewhere we’ve never been before.  They can capture us in a way that nothing else can, and let us get lost for a couple of hours.

Sometimes we just need the odd on-screen explosion that shakes us out of the mundaneness of the day. Sometimes it’s for the laugh that we just haven’t been able to find.  Maybe its the emotional stirring to feel like we’re connecting. Or perhaps it’s the scare that we need to feel a bit more alive.

Occasionally they can open up a whole new thought pattern and release the mind to think in a different way.

That said, there a load of naff movies out there! Naff movies living on hype, a famous star or two, some special effects or trying to ride the curve of a successful franchise.

This site should help prevent viewers from spending hard earned or hard loaned cash on film reel that should never have disgraced the industry.

Bottom line: Yes it’s expensive, yes we get ripped off, yes we could probably download it.. but there are movies worth being ripped off for in a strange kind of way. That’s what this little site is all about.
